Introduction


Generally, Consumers are those person, organization, or department who consumes the consumable goods or services. Producer of one goods or service provider could be consumer of another person, organization, or department. Hence, every person, organization, or departments are considered as the consumer. Therefore, consumer rights are directly linked with the health, facility, economical benefit and overall life-value of the consumers.

Consumer Eye Nepalย believes that consumer right is the fundamental right of human rights, which prevails worldwide. This organization is non-government, non-political social organization that is registered under the organization act 2034 at the Chief District Office, Kathmandu. This organization is established to identify the quality of the consumable goods and services, to facilitate the awareness to the Nepalese consumers against the manipulation of the quantity and price, to work for the benefit and rights of the consumers monitoring the supply, sell distribution, dispatch, shipment and inventory as per the demand of the consumable goods and services. Likewise, this organization is set up to give the right information to the valuable customers against the unusual price hike, adulteration, misrepresent and illusive information of the goods and services due to monopoly and illegitimate business activities. Similarly, organization facilitates the legal services against the consumerโ€™s problems and contributes in preserving and protecting the consumers rights based on the national and international provisions of consumer rights.

Our mission is to ensure participatory and effective contribution on behalf of consumers for the establishment of the internationally recognized consumer right in the country along with stabilizing through empowerment, promotion, preserving, study, research, defending and for formulation, execution and monitoring the consumer policy of the state.
